SWE Region D

The Atlanta Section (D001) of the Society of Women Engineers is a proud member of Region D.

Region D is also known as the Southeast Region. Region D includes all SWE members residing in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Region strives to inspire and encourage Sections to anticipate and meet the changing and diverse needs of their membership.

Region D is comprised of all SWE members in the included areas, both Collegiate and Professional. Generally speaking SWE members are grouped together by their section. However, there are many SWE members who live and work in areas where there is not a SWE section nearby. These members are called Members-At-Large (or MALs).

Several SWE members volunteer to serve in leadership roles for Region D. Opportunities to get involved arise throughout the year; contact governor-d@swe.org for more information on Region D involvement.
