Scholarship Opportunities
The Science Ambassador Scholarship
Film a three–minute video of yourself explaining a topic in STEM you are passionate about. You must be a high school senior or an undergraduate college student to apply. Applications close on December 11th, 2017.

The American Nuclear Society Scholarship Program
Scholarships are granted to high school, undergraduate and graduate students alike, and will be awarded at the beginning of each school year. Evaluation is based upon numerous factors, including: academic preparation (GPA and test scores), awards, honors, leadership within the ANS, references, and career goals and objectives.

APS/IBM Research Internship for Undergraduate Women
Applications will be reviewed by separate selection committees at IBM/Almaden and selected based on their commitment to and interest in their major field of study. Any student who identifies as a woman and an underrepresented minority is eligible to apply to both internships.

Teacher Advisor With Watson is free for all elementary math teachers across the United States. Read about one teacher's experience in helping IBM build this resource and how she's leveraging it in her district today.
Teacher Advisor uses IBM’s Watson technology, trained by math experts in the language of elementary math, giving K-5 school teachers high quality targeted math resources: over 1,000 of the best lesson plans and teaching strategies along with videos, all integrated and focused to meet their needs. Teacher Advisor, developed by teachers and for teachers, helps educators reach young learners at all ability levels with the best content and tools all integrated on one user-friendly platform. We all know that nothing matters more to student achievement than teacher quality. And in the spirit of collaboration, critical to quality education and great teaching, the IBM Foundation collaborated with education policy leaders from across the country to develop this innovative online resource. Over 1,000 teachers from dozens of states who have used it during the pilot provided input and told us that it deepens their expertise, sharpens their teaching skill, saves time, and lets them do what they do best, unlock a child’s passion for learning.
